Sports Injury Rehab
£45.00

What do we mean by Sports Injury Rehabilitation?

Sports injury rehabilitation is a structured programme designed by Musculoskeletal Practitioners (MSK) / Exercise Rehabilitation Therapists for people who have sustained a sporting injury. Depending on the type of injury you have sustained, your programme will include a number of parts which may include strengthening, mobilisation and pain relief techniques.

How many sessions do I need to book?

The number of sessions required by an individual will depend on your injury and personal circumstances. Your tailored treatment plan will be discussed and explained to you following your consultation.

What will the first session consist of?

Your rehabilitation therapy consultation is a 60 minute appointment which will include an assessment of your health history, discussion of your symptoms and then a series of manual tests which identify a diagnosis, any predisposing factors to injury and any other health related disorders.

Your rehabilitation therapist will then discuss an appropriate treatment plan tailored to return you to optimum functioning and physical activity.

What do rehab treatments consist of?

Follow up rehabilitation treatment appointments may consist of one/or all of the following modalities:

  • Soft tissue massage
  • Acupuncture
  • Dry Needling
  • Exercise
  • Fire Cupping
  • Mobilisations

What is the cost?

The 60 minute initial assessment is £45 and further 45 min treatments are charged at £30.

Will I be given exercises to do outside of the session?

At the FFA, we use a digital exercise prescription tool which allows us to assign exercise programmes and perform remote monitoring of our patients. You will be given a link to log in to Rehab Guru to access your programme following your initial assessment.
