1)Why is it important for you to include exercise in your busy schedule?
I can get very focused and preoccupied with my day to day tasks and keeping the business going. Swimming is my exercise of choice and I find that swimming first thing in the morning clears my head and gets me ready for the day. It definitely helps me to relax and de-stress too.
2)What does your exercise routine involve?
Swimming as often as I can! Ideally a couple of times too, plus I love long walks with our dog.
3)Do you think that exercise has played a role in your success?
Swimming definitely helps me to clear my head and relax and unwind. It gives me space out of my daily routine to have more head-space.
4)When and where do you like to work out? (morning/night – home/gym/outdoors)
Definitely morning and I swim at the gym.
5)Has exercise/fitness always been a part of your life?
I’ve always tried to fit some type of exercise into my day to day life, but this is probably easier now I’m self-employed. I used to go to Zumba and Pilates classes and also felt that they helped me to stay calm and sane.
6) Who is your role model?
Probably Mary Berry. As a cake maker it has to be Mary!
7) What is your favourite fitness quote?
Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you don’t want to do it.
