Eirian Cohen is an international bestselling author (She Made It Happen) and motivational speaker.  She is the founder of Northern Star Acting and coaches actors and entrepreneurs in creating the mindset they need to succeed. She also writes regularly for The Huffington Post and have been featured on Fox News, ABC, NBC and ITV among others.

Eirian’s  aim is to empower as many people as possible to follow their purpose, create freedom in their lives and become the best version of themselves that they can be, mentally and physically.

1) Why is it important for you to include exercise in your busy schedule?
Exercise is crucial, especially in busy times. So often I hear people say they don’t have time to exercise, but making it a priority improves our productivity, confidence, mindset and energy levels meaning that we can get more done, saving us time in the long run.


2) What does your exercise routine involve?

I’ve recently moved to rural Portugal and the eucalyptus forest outside my house is my gym. I used to pole dance and love climbing the trees and doing pole tricks, haha! I also love kickboxing and have more recently started running. If I’m really short of time, I’ll do an intense 10 minute workout just using my body weight and/or a kettle bell- I do some form of exercise/activity after every 2 hours in front of the laptop. Keeps me fit and improves my mental state and ability to cope with my workload.


3) Do you think that exercise has played a role in your success?

Absolutely! If I don’t exercise for a while, I feel low on energy and my mood suffers. It has such a big impact on me. Also, if I’m feeling stressed and overwhelmed, a good workout is great to lift my mood and to put things not perspective again.


4) When and where do you like to work out (morning/night – home/gym/outdoors)

For me, it’s normally around lunchtime and definitely outdoors.


5) Has exercise/fitness always been a part of your life?

Always! I don’t ever remember a time when I wasn’t active. There have been times, like most people, when my activity levels have dropped but it’s never been for long. Fitness is a big part of my life.


6) Who is your role model?

Tony Robbins. His energy is incredible!


7) What is your favourite fitness quote?

Eat clean, train dirty!
