Carley Jones, a cross-fit enthusiast who was tired of struggling to eat clean food in a convenient location whilst training, is the founder of the successful Kettlebell Kitchen.
1) Why is it important for you to include exercise in your busy schedule?
I feel great when I exercise, I feel energised and ready to conquer the world! Endorphins are life.
2) What does your exercise routine involve?
I Crossfit! So, high intensity. I TRY to train 3-4 times per week, but I used to train 5-6 times. Work does take over at times, if not physically – mentally! I’m a little out of shape at the moment
3) Do you think that exercise has played a role in your success?
Yes, starting Crossfit was the best thing for me. It made me realise I needed to watch what I put into my body. Its what inspired me to start Kettlebell Kitchen. It keeps me active and motivated, it is my release!
4) When and where do you like to work out (morning/night – home/gym/outdoors)
Crossfit Consilium Trafford Park, I also train at The Gym Works Group which happens to be RIGHT next door to our HQ! I prefer working out at night, I don’t have a great deal of energy early morning, I come alive at night!
5) Has exercise/fitness always been a part of your life?
Yes, from a very young age, I was always the winning girl on sports day. BUT I really lost of fitness and sporty side when I focused on my career then later found my mojo again with Crossfit! That said, I have always been the active type.
6) Who is your role model?
I don’t really have one … If I look at anyone and think ‘WOW, they’re great’ – My business partner Jamie, he’s a great soul, genuine, hardworking, intelligent, patience of an absolute saint and super cool!

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone
